Limited Warranty Information

Thank you for choosing GTROTORS for your automotive braking needs. We take pride in delivering high-performance brake rotors that meet or exceed OEM standards. To demonstrate our confidence in the quality and durability of our products, we provide a 1-Year Limited Warranty on all brake rotors and a 3-Month Limited Warranty on all included brake pads.

Please review the full terms and conditions of our warranty coverage below:

1. Warranty Coverage

This warranty applies to GTROTORS-branded brake rotors and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal driving conditions. The warranty lasts for one year from the original purchase date. The brake pads included with some kits are covered for three months. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required to validate any warranty claim.

2. What Is Covered

Covered under this warranty are issues such as warping, cracking, or excessive rotor pulsing caused by manufacturing or material defects. The warranty also covers premature failure of the rotor surface under normal usage. Unusual or excessive grinding or squealing that results from rotor construction defects is also covered. Brake pads are warrantied for three months against issues like crumbling or delamination.

Please note that all coverage assumes proper installation and standard road use. Improper installation or abnormal driving conditions may void the warranty.

3. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage, defects, or failures resulting from circumstances outside of GTROTORS’ control or from misuse of the product. The following exclusions apply:

Normal wear and tear is not covered under this warranty. Brake rotors are considered wear items and will gradually degrade over time depending on driving habits, vehicle weight, and road conditions. Expected rotor wear from standard use, including gradual thinning or surface grooving, is considered normal and is not a defect.

Surface rust or oxidation is not covered unless it directly leads to functional failure. Rust can form on brake rotor surfaces when the vehicle is not driven for extended periods or is exposed to moisture, humidity, or road salt. Cosmetic rust or surface discoloration does not affect the functionality of the rotor and does not qualify for a warranty replacement.

Improper installation will void the warranty. This includes failure to torque bolts to factory specifications, not cleaning hub mating surfaces, failing to properly seat the rotor, or reusing old or damaged hardware. Rotor warping, uneven pad wear, or vibration caused by incorrect installation or poor maintenance practices are not covered.

Damage caused by vehicle misuse, aggressive driving, or abnormal usage is excluded. This includes any use on race tracks, performance driving events, off-road conditions, towing beyond vehicle capacity, or repeated hard braking from high speeds. These conditions place extreme stress on the brake system beyond normal expectations and void coverage.

Modifications to the brake system after purchase disqualify the product from warranty coverage. This includes but is not limited to changing calipers, adding aftermarket brake components that do not match GTROTORS specifications, or altering the rotor in any way (such as resurfacing, drilling, or painting).

Failure to follow proper break-in procedures (also known as bedding-in) will void the warranty. Bedding-in is essential for establishing an even transfer layer between the pad and rotor. Skipping this step can cause uneven pad deposits, vibration, or noise—all of which are not covered.

Use of incompatible or low-quality brake pads with GTROTORS rotors is not covered. Brake pads must be of equal or greater quality than OEM specifications. Use of metallic race pads, off-brand products, or pads not intended for the vehicle can accelerate rotor wear and lead to damage that is not warrantable.

Damage from accidents, impacts, or other external physical force is not covered under any circumstances. This includes collision damage, improper loading during shipping or handling, or use of the rotors on a damaged or misaligned vehicle.

4. Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim, contact our support team at support@gtrotors.com. Please include your original purchase receipt or order number, a detailed explanation of the issue, and photos or video clearly showing the problem. If applicable, also provide proof of professional installation such as an invoice or certificate. Additional information or the return of the defective part may be requested to complete the claim review process.

5. Warranty Resolution Options

If your warranty claim is approved after review by GTROTORS, we will determine the appropriate resolution based on the nature of the issue, product availability, and other relevant factors. Resolution will be handled at GTROTORS’ sole discretion. The available options may include the following:

If the defect is minor or can be safely corrected without compromising performance or safety, GTROTORS may offer to repair the defective rotor or provide instructions and materials for field correction. This is typically applicable in situations such as minor surface irregularities or cosmetic issues that do not affect brake function.

If the defective rotor cannot be repaired, GTROTORS may provide a replacement part. This replacement will either be an identical product or an equivalent rotor of equal value and function if the exact model is no longer available. Replacement parts will be new or, in some cases, professionally refurbished to meet quality standards.

In cases where a replacement is not available due to inventory limitations or product discontinuation, GTROTORS may issue a refund equal to the original purchase price of the item. The refund will be processed to the original method of payment.

Alternatively, customers may be offered store credit for use toward future purchases on GTROTORS.com. Store credit will be issued in the form of a digital gift card or coupon code and will be equal to the value of the original item.

GTROTORS will not reimburse or compensate for labor, installation costs, vehicle downtime, or related expenses incurred during the warranty process. This warranty applies strictly to the value of the product itself.

Approved warranty resolutions will typically be processed within 5–10 business days after the defective item is received and evaluated by our returns team.

If your situation involves an urgent safety concern or vehicle downtime, we encourage you to communicate that in your claim email so we can assess priority handling when possible.

We strive to resolve all warranty cases fairly and efficiently while upholding the integrity of our product standards.

6. Installation and Maintenance Requirements

Proper installation and routine maintenance are essential to ensure the safety, performance, and lifespan of your GTROTORS brake components. Improper installation is one of the most common causes of brake failure, noise, vibration, and uneven wear — and any product damage or malfunction resulting from incorrect installation will void this warranty.

To maintain warranty eligibility and ensure optimal performance, we require and recommend the following:

Professional Installation:

All GTROTORS brake rotors and pads should be installed by a licensed and experienced professional mechanic or brake technician. Proper torque specifications must be followed when securing the rotor to the hub, and the mating surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned of rust, debris, or grease before installation. Improper seating, loose hardware, or failure to align the rotor correctly can lead to vibration, rotor run-out, and premature wear, which are not covered under warranty.

Proper Bedding-In (Brake Break-In):

After installation, it is critical to perform a proper bedding-in process. Bedding-in creates a smooth, even transfer layer between the pad and rotor surface, which is essential for efficient braking and long-term performance. Failure to bed-in the brakes correctly can result in uneven pad deposits, hot spots, brake judder, or squealing — none of which are considered manufacturing defects. Customers are encouraged to refer to GTROTORS’ specific bedding-in guide, or follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended procedure.

Brake System Inspection:

Prior to installing new rotors, the entire braking system should be inspected. Worn or sticking calipers, contaminated or low brake fluid, warped hub surfaces, or damaged wheel bearings can all negatively impact brake performance and cause new rotors to fail prematurely. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure these issues are addressed before new parts are installed.

Routine Maintenance:

To extend the life of your brake components and maintain consistent performance, routine maintenance is required. This includes inspecting brake pads for wear, checking rotor thickness, replacing brake fluid according to manufacturer guidelines, cleaning calipers and hardware, and verifying proper brake balance and operation. Failure to perform regular maintenance may lead to avoidable issues that are not covered under this warranty.

Use of Compatible Components:

Ensure that all installed brake pads and system components are compatible with GTROTORS products. Using incompatible, low-grade, or improperly sized brake pads can result in uneven wear, excessive noise, or rotor damage. Only use components that meet or exceed OEM standards and specifications.

Environmental Considerations:

Driving in harsh conditions—such as in areas with heavy salt use, extreme temperatures, or off-road environments—may increase the need for more frequent maintenance. In such cases, rotors should be inspected regularly to ensure surface integrity and performance are not compromised.

By following these installation and maintenance guidelines, you help ensure your safety, maximize the performance and durability of your rotors, and maintain full eligibility for warranty support.
